DAY SHIFT INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours/week) Shift: Day Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM / Friday 7:00 AM – 12:45 PM Hourly Wage: To be discussed based on experience Location: 8801, Place Marien, Montreal, H1B 5W6 Number of positions available: 1 position available Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking for an Industrial Mechanic who wishes to actively contribute to the company’s success and evolve in an environment where their talent is recognized and valued.

Under the supervision of the Production Mold Setup Team Lead, the Candidate will be responsible for:

  • Installing and optimizing tooling;

  • Maintaining, improving, and troubleshooting technical and mechanical issues on various types of machines (thermoforming);

  • Optimizing setup and operation times to increase productivity;

  • Diagnosing technical and mechanical problems, then proposing quick and effective solutions;

  • Identifying the causes of equipment defects and failures to prevent their recurrence;

  • Performing preventive maintenance on equipment (cleaning, lubrication, inspection);

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of efficiency and the reduction of production costs;

  • Applying health and safety rules and adopting good work practices;

  • Carrying out planned work within established deadlines;

  • Performing any other related tasks in support of operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Vocational Diploma (DEP) in Industrial Mechanics;

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial mechanics;

  • Practical knowledge of preventive maintenance, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and general maintenance (an asset);

  • Knowledge of health and safety best practices;

  • Knowledge of thermoforming (an asset).

Desired Profile

  • Be in good physical shape;

  • Ability to work in a team;

  • Ability to communicate effectively;

  • Autonomous, shows initiative, resourceful;

  • Priority management skills.

Job Requirements

  • Be available for overtime if necessary;

  • Spoken French and/or English; Spanish is an asset.
